Freedom From the Past

He is always there with you, and certainly never leaves you alone.
The ghost who’s only job is to remind you of the past and imprison you in it.
Past pains which this ghost uses to haunt, rule, and torture you.
It demands only one thing; your submission.
With your submission you give him control to rule your life.
He wraps his mist of dominance and control around you.
A mist that makes you feel entrapped and bound with no hope of escape.
You feel entrapped in a prison unlike any prison known.
This prison has no ceilings or floors.
There are no doors or windows from which you can escape.
You want to escape, but you don’t know how you would go about doing it.
You look for a way out only to run into brick walls that only you can see.
You then look deep inside yourself and finally find the secret answer.
If you deny him his fun; you might free yourself from his prison.
You try your new found knowledge and find it works.
You only want to shout for joy at the top of your lungs.
